Ningxia Medical University provides a Freshmen Scholarship of 15,000 RMB (approximately $2000) to 20% of international students applying to the Dentistry/BDS (English-taught) Program on Self-finance. The one-time freshman scholarship distribution is based on the student’s academic performance, scholarship test performance, class attendance, and behavior.

BDS Course Duration:
The Dentistry Program (BDS) at Ningxia Medical University is a five-year degree program including four years of dental education and a fifth-year internship at the university’s affiliated hospital. International students who wish to apply for the Dentistry (BDS) program at Ningxia Medical University must adhere to the specified admission requirements.
- Foreign Students must have a minimum of 60% of Marks in Senior High School/Grade 12/WAEC/A-Levels.
- Students must be under the age of 25.
- Students must be fluent in English.
- Applicant must be healthy (physically and mentally).
- Left-handed students are not eligible to apply for the BDS program in China.
- The teaching medium is English; IELTS or TOEFL is not required.
- The School can conduct the online interview on Dingtalk.
Following a successful interview, the school will issue an acceptance letter. Students will pay the tuition and accommodation fees directly into the bank account of Ningxia Medical University.
BDS Fee (English Medium) for International Students 2026-2027
Ningxia Medical University offers a low-cost dentistry (BDS) program in China. The annual Cost of the Dentistry (English-taught) Program at Ningxia Medical University is 33,800 RMB (USD 4700) per year, which covers tuition and accommodation costs. The BDS program spans five years of dentistry study, including the last year of internship.

According to the new policy set by the Chinese Ministry of Education, all International students will do internships (5th year) in China at the First affiliated hospital of Ningxia Medical University.
- Applicants must pay the fee in Chinese Yuan (RMB) or using the RMB/USD conversion rate.
- The fee, Once Paid, will not be refunded.
- Hostel rooms will be allocated according to availability, with a double room priced at 5000 RMB and a triple room at 4000 RMB annually.
- The school will refund the fee if the student doesn’t get the visa from the embassy, and it will be a 100% refund.
- The Admission Service fee (Decided) will be paid by the Student to the Admission agency before their arrival.
- Students will pay the 2nd year’s Fee in August 2026 or according to the policy of the Ningxia Medical School.
- Food Expenses, Air Tickets, Books, and Stationary Charges are not included in the above fee details.
- Students will follow the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education China (MOE), and Ningxia Medical University.
