Ningxia Medical University is a Public University, founded in 1958, and established by the Ministry of Education China (MOE China), the Health Commission, and the People’s Government of Ningxia.

The Clinical Medicine Degree and the MBBS Programme both provide the same curriculum at Ningxia Medical University. Students will complete a first-year Chinese language foundation course before starting on a five-year clinical medicine program, of which four years will be allocated to medical study and the final year to a clinical internship in the affiliated hospital of Ningxia Medical University.
Students must pass the HSK-3 (Chinese Proficiency Test) by the end of their first year to be accepted to a five-year clinical medicine degree program. The university provides sufficient time for students to pass the HSK-4, and HSK-4 certificates may be submitted before the internship year.

In China, registration for Medicine studies requires a minimum score of 60 percent in the senior year of high school.
