Foundation Program in NXMU
The Foundation Program consists of one semester (approximately 4–5 months) and is designed to prepare international students for their Bachelor’s Degree studies at Ningxia Medical University. The core subjects include:

CSCA Exam Requirements:
For admission to the Foundation + Degree Program, Ningxia Medical University does not require a CSCA Exam result at the time of application. However, students are required to take and pass the CSCA Examination before starting their Bachelor’s Degree program.
Students may take the CSCA Exam in December 2026. Those who do not take the exam in December must sit for and pass the CSCA Exam after arriving in China and before progressing to the Degree Program. Students can visit the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn) to check the specific test schedule and content.

NXMU Admission Requirments for March 2027:
International students who wish to apply for the Foundation+Degree program at Ningxia Medical University must meet the following admission requirements.
- Foreign students must have at least 60% marks in senior high school/grade 12/WAEC/GCE A-levels.
- Students must be under the age of 25.
- Applicants must be fluent in English.
- The teaching medium is English; IELTS or TOEFL is not required.
- The school can conduct an online interview.
- Applicants will provide the documents in English or Chinese.
Following a successful interview, the university will issue an Acceptance Letter confirming the Foundation + selected Degree Program. Students will then pay the tuition and accommodation fees directly to Ningxia Medical University’s official bank account.
Scholarships:
Ningxia Medical University offers Scholarships for self-financed international students.
The Ningxia Government Scholarship provides RMB 15,000 to eligible MBBS and BDS freshmen and senior students, while Pharmacy freshmen can receive RMB 15,000 for the first academic year (limited seats)

- The Fee must be paid in Chinese Yuan (RMB) or according to the conversion rate of RMB/USD.
- The fee, once paid, will not be refunded.
- Hostel rooms will be allocated according to availability, with a double room priced at 5000 RMB and a triple room at 4000 RMB annually.
- If the Student does not get the visa from the Embassy, the School will refund the fee according to its policy.
- Food Expenses, Air Tickets, Books, and stationery charges are not included in the above fee details.
- Students will follow the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education of China (MOE) and Ningxia Medical University.
