School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy of Ningxia Medical University originated from the pharmacy major of Ningxia Health School in 1935 and began to recruit postgraduates in pharmacology in 1986. In 2011, it was approved to confer the master’s degree in the first-level discipline of pharmacy and now has 6 master’s degree authorization points.
There are teaching and research sections of pharmacology, pharmacy, drug analysis, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical affairs management and law, and a pharmacy teaching and experiment center.

Scholarships:
Ningxia Medical University (NXMU) offers a Ningxia Government Scholarship of 15,000 RMB to Pharmacy Students (For the 1st year only).
The actual tuition fee for the pharmacy program is 20,000 RMB/year, but after the scholarship, it will be 5000 RMB (for the first year). The school will mention the Pharmacy Scholarship on the acceptance letter.
Ningxia Medical University offers a distinguished student prize of 15,000 RMB annually, awarded to the top 5% of students based on academic performance.
Pharmacy Admission Requirements 2025:
International Students interested in applying for the Pharmacy Program (English taught) at Ningxia Medical University must follow the following admission requirements.
- Foreign Students must have a minimum of 60% of Marks in Senior High School/Grade 12/WAEC/GCE A-Levels.
- Students must be under the age of 25.
- Applicant must be fluent in English.
- The teaching medium is English; IELTS or TOEFL is not required.
- The school can conduct an online interview.
- Applicants will provide the documents in English or Chinese.
Following a successful interview, the school will issue an acceptance letter. Students will pay the tuition and accommodation fees directly into Ningxia Medical University’s Bank account.

- Students will pay the 2nd year’s Fee in August 2026 or according to the policy of the Ningxia Medical School.
